Our mission is to make salt that feels connected to where it comes from, and to the joy food brings when it’s shared.
Torquay Salt is inspired by the coast, the ocean and the sense of good times shared. We love the rawness of this place. Salt air, cold water, long beaches, good food and the feeling of being close to the sea and to each other.
We also love what happens around food. People gathering. Cooking for someone you care about. Passing plates around the table. Turning something simple into something memorable.
That’s what Torquay Salt is about. Bold, thoughtful blends made with a love of place, a love of the ocean, and a love of good food bringing people together.
Our Process
Coming from a background in design, contemporary art and fine food, we approach each blend as a unique opportunity to build, layer and refine.
Texture. Aroma. Flavour.
Ingredients are selected, hand roasted and blended by us in Torquay. Each blend offers contrast, depth and balance — crisp, earthy, smoky, bright, savoury, toasted. Each element has a job to do.
The result is a considered kind of salt. Multi-layered, full of character and made to make great food shine.
